Framing Pictures

I use Photoshop Elements 9 and I am looking for an easy way to place a black/white border (no frills or shapes required) on to images. These would be like football teams and I need space to insert names on to the image.

Is there a download that would make the task easier i.e. automated?

Not sure if you can create new actions in elements but believe you can run them.

If this is true I could make one in photoshop quickly for you if I know what you need. I use actions that do something along the lines of increase canvas size by a certain number of pixels or cm in certain colour (say white) thicker at the bottom and my sig is added automatically and the image saved as a copy to a folder I name staging on the desktop. The saving part will have to be either save the image your working on or just stop at that point and let you save it manually as a copy because I would need to know the path on your computer to save it to. Just tell me what colour and size you need the border, thicker at the bottom or whatever and whether you want the image stroked with a thin black line or not etc.

The actions and batch functions are something I find really handy in photoshop. I batch a lot of stuff in LR but photoshop allows you to do things like resize the canvas and add borders etc. quite easily, make an action out of it and you can do hundreds of images quickly.
