When framing prints I can't get rid of the dust from the glass or on the mounts. It seems to come from either the mount, the air, the packaging it came in or the wood and I find it impossible to get perfect.

Does anyone have any tips as to how I can get a cleanly framed print?

Well it would help to have a room like a lab rather than a bedroom, but if it's the last, don't flap the duvet about or draw the curtains before the framing starts. Hoover. Wear clean clothes. I use a clean duster on the glass ...

It's done in a clean environment, not a bedroom. I find most of the dust is already in the frame. The problem with dusters and other cloths I have used is that they leave fibres on the glass.

I use compressed air to blow any particulates off. A high quality lint free cloth or damp chamois leather won't leave any extraneous fibres. Don't use a duster. Make sure the glass is completely dry before mounting though.

I just use a lint free microfibre cloth and a dust blower

I had a similar problem with dust on my exhibition pictures so I asked the framers and they recommended VuPlex spray. Not particularly cheap but pretty effective if you are using Perspex glazing (and have 20 to do like I did!) Can't vouch for its effectiveness on glass though.
