Yes who is a plank? ME
I kept wondering why when panning got a slight a stuttering effect. All the you-tube videos only show the view from one position ,ie coming towards or going away. So that was no help. My Panasonic HC_X900m instruction book had nothing about it nor as far as i can see does the Nikon D800 instruction book. They tell you everything except what you want to know.
So what is the answer? it is frame rate against shutter speed I found out at last. So for example if you are recording at lets say 50 fps then the shutter speed should be at least double at 1/100 sec. OK that is the theory, all I have to do now tomorrow is try it out in practise I say hopefully
