Yes
Ive spotted a few lenses for sale that are pretty cheap but they are standard fit lenses. Im currently using an Olympus E410 which has the Four Thirds fitting.

Is anyone using a similar setup with a lens adapter?

If so what are the pro's and cons of the adapters?

Any particular adapters to look out for or to avoid?

What do you mean by "standard fit"?

unfortunately everybody uses different mounts matey, you're going to have to be more specific! if you post a link to a certain lens you've been looking at we'd be able to tell you :)

Problem is that most of the adapters you get on places like ebay are simply unbranded bits of metal.
Some will be better made than others, but you won't find many reviews telling you which to go for!
For more specific information, I'd ask at MF lenses forum, they have a section for adaptors.

I've had a quick search on ebay, and I can find adaptors to put C/Y, PK, MD, OM and M42 lenses on 4/3 and maintain infinity focus without optical elements in the adaptor, so you've got plenty to choose from.

A lot of old primes give great image quality very cheap if you can cope with manual focus.
