sorry but I have to get this moan off my chest or I will explode re relatively new upgrade forum.

Purely out of interest has anyone came across this in a forum of any description. I only ask because it looks like a site administrator elsewere is doing it. What it means is you have the main subject heading- then a "tag" for sub heading with more accurate detail on the main heading and even more "Tags" doing the same thing up to about 2/3 sub TAGS. Unless you fill in all you can't post a message
So I point out to this site manager how much harder it was to post and if something similar wording wise you had to think of another way of putting it

Now that site manage has got the hump so much so I can't even reply to previous posts now. So the only thing after about 20 yrs membership I quit.
I appreciate how hard and time consuming building a site up ad being protective over it, but when it has a " programming hiccup" and some feature cannot be accessed and the site manager is informed he should not blame the member, ie me.

Moan over

That all sounds rather complicated and unnecessary to me.
I'm only on a couple of other unrelated forums, but I've never seen such thing.

However, many years ago, we did try something similar in the classified section, in an attempt to make the advert information more structured.
That was an epic fail, I think it lasted a month, if that.

I've not come across that in any other forums I frequent (though not frequently)

this is part of an email I sent to him

quote
"I have always said that using Tags is not done by any other forum I know of. I have to say my piece so you know exactly where I stand on the issue. As with everything, the more that goes into it the more there is to go wrong. and this is not the first time your program has thrown a wobbly. By restricting my access is a form of discrimination in my book when I have done nothing wrong to warrant it. Many times have I said do away with tags to you and I have noticed in the past other members felt the same way, but you tend to ignore for some reason or other. Constructive criticism should be welcomed and considered not ignored or punished, it is given to aid not destroy" unquote

Guess he doen't like someone like me who is prepared to speak the obvious . So instead of reaction in a positive manner his answer was reduce to not being able to do anthing but watch. So I left. Now any help I could have given about photography to the other members if they wanted it is denied

bit off topic ,but when we had our own business we took over an existing one that only had 350 clients on the books. Because we listened and acted on some advice our clients gave us 25 years or so later we sold the business with 5,500 clients on the books from all over the UK.

listen learn and adapted is the way to go not suppress and punish
