Format Hitech Experience ?

Hola,

Having heard really good things about these guys (or rather their products) I ordered, back in January, a filter kit .... Firstly, even though it didn't say it at the time, there was up to an 8 week wait to get the product. When it finally did arrive then had substituted the original holder for a plastic one (different product) ... Still to this day I'm waiting on the rest of the product. I have also asked on some other products and they are saying that again could expect a major delay..

Anyone else used them this year and have similar experiences? While the plastic holder than I've been sent isn't exactly a deal breaker, I'm still a little peeved that despite spending a reasonable amount of money I still don't have the full product I actually bought ...

I wonder, with the likes of Ken Kaminesky, Colby Brown and Elia Locardi heavily promoting the product, have they just been overwhelmed ... heck even their website struggles 50% of the times I visit. I wanted a CP for my Samyang 12mm (67mm thread) but seriously concerned about lead times etc ..

I've never had any issues with delays on filters but your right they are being more heavily promoted than ever before, I tend to try and buy my stuff via Teamwork Digital, price usually works out almost exactly the same and they can tell you if they have stock or not!

Ive been using an Amazon compare site and at times ordering from a european outlet in order to get the cheapest deals and by the sounds of it, quickest deliveries. So far the delivery has been quick (within a week even from Europe) and often cheaper than ordering from Formatt themselves. As regsrds customer service; I have emailed Formatt a few times about missing gaskets on their ND filters and they have posted them out without issue within a few days.

I bought my filters through teamwork and they were brilliant! Sending stuff next day and when it arrived a day late I moaned and they sent me free stuff as a way of apology !

I really like my Hitech filters, so much so that I'm upgrading to a Firecrest kit. It's been on order for quite a while...
