Saw this last night. Odd that she waited 4yrs to decide to sue and after the boys mother had died. Maybe the poor kid inherited some money and she decided she wanted some of it. Glad she got sweet FA.

Outrageous, I dont bel...oh wait...in America...ah ok

The world's gone mad! :runaway:
My first thoughts exactly

Interesting point, I never thought of that, it does seem odd.

The aunt claimed that injuries sustained in the accident had a profound effect on her life, and that she was at a party recently where it was "difficult to hold my hors d'oeuvre plate."

I feel really sorry for her TBH :(

Yeah - her lawyer claimed it's a legal thing.

She has fairly big hospital expenses (because America). Sensibly she has insurance to pay these. Stupidly she can't claim on her insurance unless she sues somebody (IIRC some states effectively make you sue the insurance company).

So she was forced to sue her nephew so she could claim on the insurance she paid for to offset the expenses she incurred.

But that's not quite as good a headline.

I get like this at parties, its traumatising looking at a plate of food knowing it isn't even going to touch the sides :D
