I'm looking to do a team photo to present to the coach, but I'm having real problems in creating a layout in photoshop. I want the team photo in the middle and then 12 boxes round the outside for the 11 individual players and the team logo. Looking to do a 12x8 or possibly 18x12


Is there somewhere I can get pre-made layouts (just a plain white background is fine) or is there a program out there that could do this for me?


Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
DS colour labs have such a template. I imagine most others do too
 
I've had a look at dscl and the collage just quite doesn't fit what I need. I forgot to mention I need a text box as well.

For the minute I resorted to using the grid in photoshop and pen/paper to work out the dimensions. Getting there slowly :)

Hahahahaha, too busy looking at the words to make sure I spelt them correctly. I'll sort that now.
 
Looks a little unbalanced with the shield up in the lefthand corner. You could try moving it to either side of the text and making the text 2 lines:

O Roach Dynamos Black U7 O
...........2010 - 2011

And it would allow the guy in green to be in the center of the five at the top.

Have you tried it with the team name/logo either at the top or the bottom?
I'm wondering if that might balance a touch better.

The after version above is the best so far btw! :)

I think each step it has improved and am very happy with this one, but would still welcome any more comments/suggestions.
 
That looks a lot better. If you shot the main image in raw it maybe worth recovering a little more detail in the sky.

There's only 11 in the squad, the 12th cutout was for the logo

I shoot everything in raw, but not sure how to get the best out of the sky. Had a quick go but couldn't get it to look natural.

but there are 12 in the team photo that's who i was refering to?
 
Use a sans serif typeface, something classic , like Gill Sans

I've had a look at Gill Sans and other sans serif ones and ended up with one called 'Familiar Pro'.

Just waiting for a higher rez logo from the teams web designer and then I can send it off to get printed. Hopefully should have it ready for the weekend.
