I finally got around to posting up my story on football in the Faroe Islands which those of your who should really be working but can't help being distracted may like to have a look at.

It's a cracking place to visit if you get the chance.

Having looked back through the pictures I took there are so many things I'd do differently. It's a strange thing but it's easy to get sucked in and lose the ability to simply stand back and capture the essence of the place. It's good experience trying to put a photo documentary like this together though and I'll be trying to do a few more in the near future.

Awesome piece, Tobers! Loved it.

(Although, whenever I think Faroe Islands and Football, I can't help but recall THAT Richard Keys moment.... "Daft little ground, silly game, **** off!")

What an amazing place. If the tide is a bit high, does the pitch get swamped? Interesting that even in that remote spot, the vagaries of Premier League doings have an impact. Hope that doesn't mean they will be kicking the ball boy ...

That bonkers pitch doesn't get hit by high tide, but the 100mph winds can make things difficult.

It is amazing how the Premier League reaches out to such places. It's just interesting to see the influence it has and the impact of the bad behaviour that we see.

Is this the second time you've been there mate, sure ive seen a very similar article a couple f years ago

Nope - first time for me.
