I've just got a set of lights and I would like an Octobox - I believe there are folding ones that are easy to put up?

Anyone used these - and what size and make would you recommend? (For Bowens S fit).

Bessel, or those Profold octas and rectangular jobbies from that nice man at Lencarta. Or if you can't get hold of him, Garry Edwards :D

Loving my 85 Profold for solo portraits, comes with a free circular mask. And you can get cheap grids too. 120 octa is a lovely thing, but make sure you've got room for it!

Thanks guys - that's the sort of thing I'm looking for. Just need to decide now on 85cm or 120cm...

Both?
Seriously though, if you have plenty of ceiling height then a bigger one will give you more options. If you don't, you may sometimes find it hard to get a bigger one high enough

Thanks guys - will have a think. I will build up my range of modifiers over time, just thinking about what to start off with. Want to be able to set up in a house (more likely to be limited space) but also to be able to run a mobile studio sometimes at events. So I'll probably need different options anyway.

I have the 70 x 100 one and it's spot on. Easy to put up and take down.

Might also be worth considering the Westcott folding ones too as they can be used with studio lights and speedlites.

Another thumbs up for the Lencarta Profolds ... so quick to put up and down and much quicker than sticking tent poles through holes :)
Solid build quality as well

I got a bessel one the other day and can't fault it one bit. The best part is that it's dirt cheap

I have their 120cm softboxes and totally agree. Great quality of light at such a low price point!
