Focus confirmation light in manual focus 40d

This has never worked for me and I dont know if Im doing something wrong or what.

If Im using manual focus... on any of a variety of lenses.... I dont get a confirmation light when it comes into focus.

The manual reads that it should do.

DO YOU LOT GET ONE OR NOT? :shrug:

Just tested it, and yes I do get it

Just reset camera settings and custom functions.............. I get it now too.............Yay!!!
