Who would people recommend?

only for say 1000 flyers done

around A5 in glossy

I've contacted a couple of companies on eBay to see if I can get some samples done just to see that what I have in mind works before spending extra money on something that may need more work or things changing later, they don't seem to want to do this despite me offering covering costs

Would anyone recommend a reputable company who will do this? maybe even send an example of there work if I cover costs and so on

I've used Advantage Digital Media many times and always been happy with the service. Not sure about samples though. You also might find it costs very little extra to get about 5000 rather than 1000.
 
I discovered Solopress recently and used them to source my business cards. I sent them my artwork and asked for a non-regular size of card. They rejigged the artwork, sent me a PDF proof and hey presto I had my 2,000 cards. It was Monday to Wednesday from start to finish and the cards arrived in sealed plastic boxes. They do just about everything that is printable and seemingly in quantities to suit the customer. Service was prompt, friendly, helpful and very professional. I know where to get all my printing done from now on. Do have a look -

Not sure that you actually need to see printed proofs, to be honest.

Local printers might be your best bet, for such a small run I doubt many will want to go to the expense of setting the printers up and so on.

Possibly yeah, just want to be sure that everything is fine before shelling out on something thats all
