I got all hyped up about this meteor shower. I've been trying to justify my Nikon kit to my missus while she thinks all I do is sit at the dinner table with my kit and admire it.
So I got up with great effort at four this morning to try and get some shots of a local folly against a nice unpolluted sky with maybe a meteor or even two in the background.
Alas, while the kettle was heating up in anticipation I popped into the garden only to find a blanket of cloud covering the entire sky.:bang:
In the process I woke our dogs, they had a good bark up, this woke the wife, and I went back to bed. I accidently kicked the good lady while getting into bed and then got accused of snoring. What a waste of time.
(I think tonight I will pour myself a large glass of armanac and gulp it down while I fiddle with my D80 and caress my lenses. That's proper photography - MAN'S photography!)

) but didn't have the camera... Think i saw some on the way back from York as well, but not too sure whether it was just my eyes..... mmmmmm whisky
