Flickr Stats & Stuff

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of Flickr stats or can come up with an explanation for this. I uploaded a pic recently of me aged 1 in Weston-Super-Mare. It's a crap pic, scanned from tranny by my ol' man and covered in hairs.

However, it has been viewed more than any other image and yesterday viewings for this image were completely uncomparable to the rest of my Flickr stuff. We're talking at least 10 times more popular than anything! Someone has even marked it as a favorite. The main referers were...

it.groups.yahoo.com
mail.live.com

...which to me suggests that someone has mailed a link to people.

Am I missing something? Is there a comedy banana growing out of my head? Is W-S-M just a really popular place? Is it because my ol' man is wearing socks with sandals?

Depends what people are looking for on Flickr. Depends on how many groups it's in, tags, type of photo, location, camera, whats going, bla bla bla

So it depends on a lot of things to be fair

Sometimes also, certain webpages [mail ones] have almost like a flickr link of images running across the top of their pages.

...which to me suggests that someone has mailed a link to people.

ooo never seen those show before, and yeah it would suggest someone has been emailing the link to it around, which (if it wasn't you) is a little odd I guess :|

I can't remember how the stats work fully but can you click on those to get any more info? especially the groups one.

Clicking on any of them just brings me up to 'signin' pages.

It was this aspect that has struck me as unusual. I appreciate adding to pools, tags, even title/desc all affect traffic, but these stats do seem to suggest that the image has been mailed around. I just cant for the life of me work out why and wondered if i was missing something obvious.
