I asked this question in the long Flickr thread when Flickr changed but I didn't get an answer.

When I go to 'my sets' and then click on one to open it I get large images loading with the message 'fetching more images'.

With over 1000 images in some of my sets I have to wait ages (10 mins minimum) before the image I'm looking for appears or it just stops displaying the set as I scroll endlessly down the page.

With old Flickr when I clicked on a set to open it, it opened pretty instantly with a page of small thumbnail images which meant I could then quickly select the images I was looking for.

Before I die of old age waiting or throw my PC out of the window - Does anybody know how I can still do this ?

Largest set I have has 156 photographs in and loaded in around 10 seconds. 10 minutes does seem a long time.

Sub divide your sets, perhaps?

Cheers.

Cheers Andy

I could divide my sets I guess but it seems a bit of a faff.

It worked perfectly before when it displayed whole sets as postage stamp size images in a grid.

It's all very nice having my sets displayed as large images but I don't want to really admire them - I just want to quickly open a set, spot the image i need and grab it.

PS

Flickr Stackr is great on the iPad as I can just pinch the screen and i see the full set but it's the PC that's tiresome.

It's just one unfortunate byproduct of the revamp. Nowt we can do except as Andy suggests above, post in smaller sets, as far as i can see ...

Alternatively, Ipernity's pages are structured more like the old Flickr, if you thought to migrate. But nothing's set in stone, anywhere!

Oh well - Thanks Rog

90% of the time I want to access recent pics in my 'photostream' so there's not really a wait.

It's when I want to delve back in time through my sets it becomes a grind.

iPad makes doing that easy so I'll have to resort to that.
