How is it possible to post an image on Flickr, get 2 favorites yet have No views?

I'm not sure. I've used Flickr for years and never seen that behaviour happen. I always have matched or exceeded number of views to likes & comments.

Are you just seeing today's views rather than total views? If so they probably viewed just before midnight ?

I have just had a scrol through your most recent images on there and all have multiple views all more than the favourites, can you link the image in question? maybe it was just having a moment on Flickr last night?

I have had that a few times I think it can happen if you view the stats just after someone has viewed and faved it at the same time. If you refresh the page a few minutes later it seems to correct itself.

Also, is it possible to favourite an image without actually clicking it to view it. Like from the photo stream page where you can view images posted by people you follow.

Correct, especially if they view your photostream only, there is an option to favour or comment without viewing the full image. Hence no views!

I wouldn't get too worked up about flickr statistics. I vew on the app and browser on my phone. The statistics are invariably different on each and neither corresponds to those viewed on my PC.
In addition, if I add up today's views with yesterday's total it frequently doesn't agree with the overall total. Sometimes it's more, sometimes it's less.
It's probably best to use the stats as an indication of a trend rather than as an accurate representation.

Thanks for the Ideas, I was just intrigued as it had only been posted 5 minutes. I guess it was just a glitch as it has views but one of the favorites has gone.

Could be that in a stream/wall, just "seeing" the image, doesnt count as a "view", but you can still favourite with a click on the star-icon, I guess a view doesn't count unless they click on it to view it in a larger format rather than the thumbnail?
