Landscapes/seascapes
British Superbikes
BTCC
Zoo animal images
Portraits

Any other Flickr tips much apriciated.

Thanks muchly, Mike (y)

Use the Flickr groups search to find groups on those topics, and then check out recent submissions of photos, and recent discussions, to find those which are both active and of good quality.

If you hover over the black band at the top of the Flickr site, groups. search groups, then put in your topic of interest, ie landscape etc, a long list presents itself and its really a matter of looking at the 'About' page and deciding for yourself.
Some have more stringent rules about what you can and cannot post, how many images, whether the images need moderation (or not) so it isn't just a matter of recommendation, it is whether the group suits you or not!
I like Lancashire Landscapes, but not much use for someone down south, Motorsports UK is my faved group on the subject, but may not suit you.
Dont forget the TP groups for joining, also the camera specific groups, a good way to get tips for your particular camera/lens etc.

The best group for Landscapes on Flickr is called Natural Landscapes - https://www.flickr.com/groups/776849@N21/

It's a heavily curated group (by Doug Chinnery) and not much makes it in. But it is pleasing when you do get something in, as the quality of the group is so much higher than most others I've seen.
