Seems some cars have a flaw in there remote car key systems making it easy to unlock the cars. Some manufacturers went to the trouble of trying to keep it quiet. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...WO-YEARS-Bug-used-unlock-Kia-Lamborghini.html. Is yours on the list?

Just as well I have a Nissin...

I'm amazed this sort of thing hasn't been massively exploited by the hackers/car thieves.

Oops. Volkswagen Group (and others) better provide a free of charge fix to their customers. I think my Audi is affected :(

It may well have been. It's been known for thieves to have got into cars without breaking windows or door locks..

I'm OK with my XTrail then?
Hang on a minute, I'd be OK anyway, the remote's stopped working:)

Um, yeah, I saw a device a week or so back that would get past many car remotes. It relies on the fact that lots of vehicles don't expire unused codes.

The only surprise is that this is a different flaw :)
