Flash won't stay down: Help! (Nikon D70)

Hi,

I've got a D70 and the flash won't stay down when pressed - it just pops open. Is there an easy fix? Fixation reckoned on £70-90 quid!

Is that fair and reasonable?

Also I've got the 18-70 lens and the lens end seems wobbly in relation to the barrel is that normal? It moves quite noticeably.

on the 18-70 I have heard some can develop this problem but not sure if it affects zoom at all.

Aside from bodging it (or paying for it) I didn't know if there was an easy way to fix it, or whether the rpice was fair - it seems hella steep!

I had this issue, there is a fix for the D90 which I assume will be the same for a D70?

It worked for me, albeit only temporarily. Mine ended up back with Nikon who fixed it under warranty.
