I have agreed to do a couple of "mobile studio" events this summer at summer balls.... I just spoke to one of the places where the first function is taking place....

They have a space 10x20m wide for me to use, only problem is... It is actually part of the main dining room/disco area (20x20m)... They are divided by a few pillars... but essentially its the same room..

This is going to make consistant lighting a nightmare... but my initial concern is this....

If I am using a wireless trigger to fire one studio flash, and then allowing that to trigger the other two.... will the disco (and possibly other camera flashes about 15-20m away) continuously trigger my flash setup?

I am sure plenty of you have been shoved in a similar predicament... any ideas of how to get around this problem?

Or should I be stomping my feet and asking to be moved into another room?... (that might cost a lot!)

couple more wireless recievers to trigger the other flashes?

If your second light is optically triggered then it'll probably go off with every other flash of bright light

be worth investing in more wireless recievers methinks espesh if your being paid.
Might be fine probably won't best not to find out.

Though the dj might be happy to have a bit more juice from an STL (sound to light - like the coloured ones that change pattern or colour with each bass beat) light :D

Yup... good idea.... Am trying to find some more recievers to work with my trigger... I cant stop the flash heads triggering them selves through the slave sensor though.... GRRR!!!
