Does anyone know where I can get something similar to this Flash Splitter
I want to be able to connect 3 flashes to my stopshot via the RCA (trigger 1) socket.
Are there such things as 1 male to 3 female RCA cables that I can buy online in the UK? example as that would do the job for me?
Also looking for a cheaper alternative to this if possible PC to RCA Adapter Cable

Thanks

Do you really want to be running multiple cables? Usually we only link one light and fire the rest with slaves. That splitter and 6 cables is probably not much cheaper than an optical solution and cetainly lots less tidy.

Only reason I’m asking about the cables is I’m tired of banging my head against the wall trying to get my flashes to fire remotely. I have never had a problem before but for some reason with my new stopshot I cannot get them to fire remotely.

have 2 sb900’s and one sb600 and I currently have one of my sb900s connected to the stop shot via the trigger 2 socket and this is triggered when I pass a water drop through the sensor.

I thought if I put my sb900 that is connected to the stopshot to master mode and my other sb900 to remote mode that they would both fire but only the one connected via cable is firing.

You might have guessed my knowledge of flashes is limited and I know I am probably doing something stupid but at least I know it works ok using cables. To be honest the flashes are only ever going to be 2-3 foot apart so it will not be much hassle to have them connected that way.

I would of course prefer the wireless option so any advice will be gratefully received.

I don't know about the Nikon CLS system but the Canon one wouldn't do what you're attempting using wireless triggering. However I thought that the Nikon flashes could be set to be triggered as simple optical slaves. Forgive me if that's what you're trying.

the cls can fire 18 nikon flas guns , in 3 groups , maybe more , it can be triggered from the intenal flash or a flash gun attached to the camera

each group can be set to fire at different powers , its worth looking into

this reqires that they are set to the same group on the flash guns eg a3 or whatever you choose

Cheers steve

I’ve just been doing a search on Google and I have put the sb900 that is not connected by cable into SU-4 Mode which has worked, it now fires when the other sb900 fires.

Would I be right in thinking if I get an optical slave unit for my sb600 I could then connect that to the stopshot unit via cable and I can then put both my SB900’s into SU-4 Mode and they would fire remotely.

Would there be any noticeable delay in the flashes fired this way as opposed to using cables?

Before now I have only used my flashes remotely when I have taken a photograph and they have been triggered by my on-board flash or by an SU-800 commander unit. In these instances the remote flashes are all set to remote mode and I have triggered 3 flashes with no problems doing it this way.

This is the first time I have tried to trigger the flashes by just using another flash. The reason for this is I am attempting to do these water drop photos by working in a dark room and putting the camera in bulb mode then using the stopshot unit to trigger the flash via cable.

The SU-4 mode appears to be working ok as it triggers the flash when it detects another flash. I'm just a little concerned that there may be a slight delay but of course I could be wrong to think that.

I really should read the manual sometime as I never even knew that mode existed.

Gave the SU-4 mode a quick try today and it appears to be working great just got to try to get a bit creative now :)
This was taken with 2 SB900's one behind the drop as we look at it triggered by cable from the stopshot and one to the left in SU-4 mode triggered by the flash of the other one.
Camera is set to 2sec exposure in darkened room and both flashes set to 1/128th power
