Hi,
I'm looking for a portable strobist set and was about to purchase the Westcott umbrella style softbox where the flash fires 'backwards' into the silver material then this is reflected forwards.
I then came across FITP's offering and given the difference in price this looks like a viable alternative!
The thing is FITP's works by the flash firing forwards straight into the translucent material i.e. how an umbrella works. Now I know the SB will prevent spill however am I right in thinking the Westcott would probably give the 'better' light (softer) than FITPs? Would there be any way round this for example using a tupperware style diffuser?
Thanks!
Joe.
