Hi,
i have a question about flash high speed sync.
Currently I'm using yongnuo yn560iv and tripo tr568 speed lights. They do not support high speed sync.
Now I need work with high speed sync and
I'm planning to buy transmitter and receiver pair. YN622TX/RX.
Is it possible to make my none HSS support flash to make HSS support by using these transmitters..?

I very much doubt it.

I think that HSS requires specific hardware. But I’m no expert.

I’d sell your current flashes and buy Yongnuo if you’re on a budget, or replace them all with Godox if you have some available cash.Having a single system with the same comms protocol will save a lot of time and frustration.

No, HSS basically get the flash to fire lots of bursts very very quickly, making it look like its one single burst,

The YN685 has built in wireless and supports HSS... get one of those and something like the YN622c-TX transmitter and you're good to go

I take it you need the HSS as you want to make use of a brighter ambient background?

Yes, thats why i really want ti have this..

You say that, YN568 flash can be use with YN622N-TX to have a HSS and no need have the receiver..?

Thanks anyway...

Yes; this is to overcome the issue of using a shutter speed too fast for the flash to sync correctly (even though the actual flash duration is a much shorter duration). A good explanation here:

I don't know about using HSS with 3rd party flashes, but it does work with the camera manufacturer's own brand higher end flashes. Providing HSS flash (as mentioned, lots of high frequency ultra short duration flashes) may require more complex electronics or summat, better cooling etc, and that's the area where some 3rd party flashes fall down, in spite of being otherwise excellent. But then the price of own brand flashes are very expensive, comparatively. You pays yer money...

No, the YN568 has receivers built in :) Making them stupidly good value.. I've got a bunch I use for skateboarding and they're excellent!

and this

Job done

Can i use Nikon SB900 or SB700 with Nikon camera's flash commander, without using any HSS flash transmitter ? I'm having Nikon D750

Thanks for replying..

You'll need to use either the D750's built in flash, set to Commander mode, or another flash with the Commander wireless function, or the SU-800 Flash Commander unit, to use wireless TTL flash control.

The chinise flashes are good for what they are ie a very cheap speedlite whcih will get the job done.
They are not however that robust so do not treat them badly !
I think Godox are better quality build than yongnuo and the wireless format function works with all Godox products. So if you have a canon, fuji, Sony or nikon fit Godox flash one transmitter will fire them all including the studio flash units
So that reason I am looking out for low end Godex flashes ( to use as off camera flashes ) as I hope to buy Godex transmitter in the near future.

For the OP's need I would suggest for now buying cheap chinise knock off speedlites that can do HSS, a transmitter and go enjoy.
