Yes
I am thinking of buying some flash heads that are Elinchrom fitment, but my modifiers currently are the Bowens S fitting.

I can buy an Elinchrom to Bowens adapter mount, but as this will approximately lose an inch putting the flash tube further back into the modifier would this give rise to any issues or could I simply overcome this by increasing the power level?

Hope this makes sense and would appreciate your feedback if anyone has gone down this road.

Thanks.

It will inevitably create a change when used with the more creative light modfiers, such as beauty dishes, focussing spotlights, fresnel spots, reflectors, simply because of the increase in distance.
But it should be fine if all that you want to use is softboxes..
The loss of effective power is neither here nor there.

Thanks Garry for the quick reply and reassurance that I am worrying over nothing and yes I will only be using basic modifiers, viz softboxes. :ty:
