Just moved over to Nikon. If on a bit of a budget what would you recommend sb600 or another brand?

I have invested in stands and triggers.

If you can afford the extra expense I would go for an SB900, I found the menu difficult to use on the SB600

Cheers

Will have to save a little more then..

what do you need it for?

i have two sb600's for off camera foreground, and two of Flash in the pans yn460 II's . the youngnou flashes are idea for lighting up background etc ,

I would take a look at Flash in the pan's YN465 iTTL flashes for about £50. I have two of them as well as an SB600 and an SB800.

cheers folks

would probably use only for fashion/wedding but with max 2/3 people in shot

Personally I'd always recommend buying Nikon, because then you can get into CLS as you buy more. SB600/900 will work wirelessly with a lot of nikon bodies with inbuilt flash.

I use a SB600 & a Sunpack 400...both work great.....if your just after an everyday flashgun ..there as good as anything else out there without breaking the bank

will the sb600 trigger the sunpak?

No but you can get a cheap slave of ebay for around a fiver...giving you the option to use any flash as a slave flash
