These snazzy little devices allow you to put and SD card in a compact flash camera. I have owned one for a while now and it holds a spare 512 SD card as a backup for if I run out of CF cards in the field so to speak. I have used it on many occasion and have not had a single problem with it.
Considering the mad cheap prices of SD cards at the moment (nearly half the prices of CF's in some sizes). I wonder if it's worth getting SD cards instead. My problem is if I get a high speed one will it be slowed down by the convertor?
I am not sure of the electronics involved in it so I do not know if it is just a straight pin to pin convertor or if it does any electronic wizardry to achieve it's goal. If it's straight pin to pin I should imagine there os no slow down.
Anyone out there that could enlighten me?
