I have started to use my iPhone a lot more than before, even ahead of my X100V due to it quality and just being there! Seen this crop up on a lot of feeds and trying to work out if an expensive gimmick or something worth considering? Does anyone have one or similar?

Yes. I’ve got one. Actually works very well. The accompanying app is also useful. I gave up on it as I had to put my reading glasses on to see the screen. No reflection on the product. Just my myopic limitations.
