Hi all,
Anyone use the Fitbit or Jawbone fitness trackers?
My wife wants one for her birthday and she's leaning towards the Jawbone but I think the Fitbits seem better quality??
Jawbones seem hard to come by, Curry's don't have them but they have loads of Fitbits.
Any comments or recommendations would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Steve

I guess it depends on what features she wants. Then you can work out what best suits her needs.

Well she's very interested in the sleep pattern feature which they both have, I'm really interested in the build quality/reliability issues if that makes sense

The Sleep pattern thing on the Fitbit is hazy at best. I was ill last week with some dodgy food and spent the whole night tossing and turning. Got up around 6am to mope around and plague people with general miserableness before heading back to bed about 9am to wake up at midday. The fitibit gave me a green star and told me I'd had 13 hrs sleep! It seems to start monitoring when you lay down as I generally read for 30 mins or so before lights out and it tells me my sleep began about 5 mins after I get into bed.

I think it's good for steps, and general exercise/heart rate monitoring - though again - it gets confused when I cycle. The calories burnt, up-and-down-stairs, and sleep patterns though I think are a bit gimmicky. I've got the Charge HR and it drains my phone battery like a good 'un. I'd give it 6.5/10 overall I think.
