Yes
I've downloaded a trial of Fisheye-Hemi Plug-in and it arrived in PSE 9 under 'filters' but does not appear to work.

Is there something I must do to 'jump-start' it, so to speak.

Sorry for the stupid question, but me and 'PP'/computers just don't go together.

TIA

I've never tried it but does it need a duplicate layer (or unlocked background layer) to work?

EDIT
Just had a thought do you need to extend the canvas to give it room to warp the image?

Once you go to the filter section it is under the 'Image Trends Inc'

Neil.

Neil.

Thanks Neil, I've found that.

I'm not using my own FE images, I don't have any yet, I'm using ones of the net to try out the software.

This is what I'm doing.

Load pic into PE9
Click on filters
Click on 'Image Trends Inc'
I then get 3 choices...Circle, full frame or cropped.

Which ever one I choose the result is always the same, the picture is still FE but with a watermark.

Did you try making the canvas bigger or a duplicate layer? I suspect it needs space to alter the image, but as I say I've never used it.

I've made the canvas bigger, still the same 3 results.

Try as I might I can find nothing re. instructions or a tutorial....and this is the free demo download intended to woo one into buying the full monty.

I want to prove the software before splashing out on a Samyamg 7.5mm FE.

From a user of the software on another form............

I wish I had a magic answer for you, Dave.

I don't have Elements so I can't tell you how it would perform within that program.

I just tested it in 32 bit Photoshop and the minute I click on the plug-in and choose which adjustment I want the picture pops into the adjusted state. There is no other action required.

Is it the right version? 32/64 bit and does it require open gl graphics or something like that, just guessing.

As you quoted that is all that is required....just open image....click on the filter and it adjusts it....presuming that you are using the trial version it should have a logo of 'Unregistered do not save' all over it.
I tried a fisheye image of mine and all 3 gave different results.
If you would like me to send you a different fisheye image just PM me with your email address and will send you one so that you can play with that.

Neil.

I'm on 64 bit, it says that 64 bit is available but it does not ask you to select 32/64 for the download there is only one 'download' button.

I'm supposing that both are downloaded and ones computer sorts it out.

Perhaps Neil's FE image will answer a question or two.

Update...

Yipee, it works, full-frame is best.

Neil's 'virgin' files work a treat.

I can only assume that as mine were all from the net that they were adulterated in some way.

On the strength of it I have ordered a Samyang 7.5mm to try out the software, it seems a fun lens and just £227....and there's always Amazons return policy to fall back on.

Thanks again Neil

WOW, I'm over the moon, it's a little Gem, superb build quality and excellent IQ.

The pictures are the first two 'snaps' taken with it, with and without Fisheye-Hemi defish applied.

I have ordered the pucker software....so no more watermarks.

I can't wait to get out a take some shots, if it ever warms up.

BTW, my wife just loves it and the sofrware, and she rarely coments.

Shots, JPEG, OOC, just resized and sharpened a tad.

I'm not up to speed with these, is that a four thirds system?

Works well Dave....may just try again with the software!
