Hi all, i got my penyax k100d super a few months ago and i love having a Dslr, i was wondering what would be a cheap,(i dont have much money),reliable and good wide angle lens to get for my first lens(in the future).
I have been looking around and have found this

it seems like a great bargain at only £110 and is fairly wide, has good ap. and will work on my cams mount.
Has anyone used this Lens? is it good and worth it?

And can anyone link or inform me of some other possible choices. ;)
 
Ive read all the reviews on that page and they seem to be giving good feedback.
What does slow lens mean? cause i shoot action photography, and i need fast shutterspeed/lens's
I typically shoot at around f/5/6/7/8/9 and it mentions softness at smaller aperatures, but i guess you can always sharpen on photoshop
 
Slow can mean a couple of things. Either focussing speed or more normally a largish minimum aperture, i.e. F4 or above.

I'd have thought at the apertures you're using sharpness should be fine.
 
I got this lens from my brother (free!), used it with some success on my D200... Good build quality, razor-sharp at f/5.6 - in fact some of the reviews I read on this lens put it a hairs-breadth off the infamous Canon 17-40 L at f/5.6...

I'd say go for it!
 
As this lens is 19mm-35mm
and the kit lens is 18-55 doesnt that mean that the kit lens is actually better, as it has a wider range of zoom and is at a 1mm difference wide angleness

Does anyone have any pics they could show me taken with it?
