I've spent the morning making a pinhole out of the body cap of my slr (I do still have one without a hole in it) and then proceeded to take some photos, like you do. I just want to share a few and see what people think, I'm not entirely sure what I've got in terms of results, I know they're soft, I'm just not sure if they're a bit washed out soft rather than just not in focus. Anyway - here they are, any tips or comments welcome!

That's not bad for a home made job. I have a dedicated pinhole attachment and the results are pretty much the same as yours.

I still think yours has a nicer 'finish' to it as such, darker round the edges, a bit crisper in the middle - think it just takes a bit of getting used to!

Does the depth of field preview button still work?

I fail to see the attraction with these. As above they are unsharp across the photo with no real centre of attraction. I know it's a free method but I'd rather spend £40 on a used lensbaby and get some useable photo's from it.

Just my opinion though. I know pinhole has a lot of fans.

I'm in the same boat. Can't really see a use or appeal for these photos. I'm sure there must be something but I really can't see it.

I see from a technical point why people don't like these. From an experimentation angle they are great! Photography is all about trying new things and seeing if they work and expanding your horizons. This you have achieved - good job!
