Got this lens as I was missing the 56mm focal length having got rid of my 56mm 1.2 a while back.

Have to say it is every bit as good (and better in certain areas) as my old Fuji.

So yesterday I took it on its first run out and I'm happy with its performance and the quality of the images :)

Lovely shots!

How does it compare to the 56 1.2 in terms of rendering wide open, and AF speed?

I have the 1.2 and I do love it, but it's also my least used lens and the price of the Viltrox means that if I sold the 1.2 I could get the Viltrox 56 and have money left over for another lens as well.

It's fantastic to be honest. All these were shot wide open. I find the bokeh smoother on the viltrox and the af is much faster than the Fuji. Also I find the viltrox sharper. There is a quite a bit of fringing in high contrast areas when shot wide open but this clears up alot at f2. I loved the 56mm 1.2.bit to be honest for the price difference I would get the viltrox.
