Always enjoyed cricket, love TMS, even played a bit (well, made up the numbers) but never been to a First Class match.

Anyway, I'm going to the Oval on Wednesday to see England v West Indies and would be grateful for any tips.

I guess bring food, drink, binoculars, radio for TMS?

Might not need a crash helmet if Gayle is still injured!

Pack a warm coat and take your drinking hat, cricket is just an excuse to sit and drink all day in front of some sport. At least it is for me...

Food is expensive in the ground although there are lots of options
Drink, you can bring in non-alcoholic drinks but booze will be confiscated
Bins, yes
Radio, yes

Fancy dress - the weirder the better
Check what bevvy you are allowed to take in - we were going to go to Lords and it was a bottle of wine or two beers
CASh for the extra bevvy

Enjoy, hope it is warm and sunny - or at least dry!!

Lords is the only ground that still allows you to take in alcohol.

Thanks all.

I'm Scottish so the cold I can cope with. Not sure about fancy dress, maybe a kilt? :)

Kilt would be good, you can put a good book in your sporran :)
