First go at PP - Critique please!

Hi all, I've started trying my hand at using photoshop to improve my pictures (not that I could make them much worse!) and though I'd post one up for critique so any tips or criticisms are appreciated

Hi Matt
You have done a nice job with the selective colour here and chosen a difficult coloured dog to work with. It "might" have been better if you could have turned him around so the light that appears to be shining on his rump was lighting up his face and giving it more detail

Thanks Christine, I know it's not a particularly good photo, just decided to use it to play around with!

And I know Gr8Shot, it was really annoying me as well!
