Hi everyone.
This is my first go with a Dslr. Just looking for any feedback or pointers.

What aspect do you want pointers on exactly?

There are some clowns on here but not everyone is a clown, there are some decent people who are prepared to help with genuine comments and constructive criticism, I like to think they are in the majority.
If you are still strugling to upload Dawn, PM Rich or myself and we will help. Dont get disheartened by your early responses :thumbs:

Very true I've had loads of help here , full maybe the wrong word but sometimes it feels like it

My comment was hardly taking the p***!

I merely asked what aspect of photography (there are many) she would like help with. Would it be camera settings, advice on landscapes, portraits, locations, lenses, etc, etc. Why would you see this as making fun? If the OP answered my question I would be more than happy to offer some of my (limited) advice.

Well tbh the answer is in the line " This is my first go with a Dslr " I may be be completely wrong and if so I apologise but it seems obvious to me that there should be a picture to go with it, if not the OP would have asked help with a specific problem in understanding her camera. ;)

But she didn't. Thus my question "what aspect do you want pointers on exactly?". Perfectly reasonable question, don't understand what your problem is.

The fact she was looking for feedback would be another clue. If I was new myself to using a camer and was struggling I might perhaps ask for pointers on a specific thing such as " I am struggling to understand exposure or dof " as the OP did not then it seems pretty obvious there was a picture missing form her thread and that she had problems linking it. But as I said previously I will stand corrected and apologise to you personally if that was not the case. We can always just agree to disagree as it makes life simpler.

I do not see why it should Liz, I made a genuine comment. If you look at the first reply for example you have someone laughing and calling Dawn Buddy :thinking: I was defending her in my reply nothing else :thumbs:
 
The fact that the OP has not been back in this thread speaks volumes with regards too the comments made, sorry state of affairs !

I think you will find the reason the OP has not returned is the fact her questions have been answered in her other thread :thumbs: Not such a sorry state of affairs ;)
 
Closing this one now.
It seems that there was a new thread with a working picture, so this one isn't going to serve any purpose.

A belated welcome aboard Dawn - I've seen better welcomes to new members, but I'm glad to see that it didn't put you off posting.
Some members would do well to think about how they'd like to be welcomed to the forum before they hit the submit button.
