So I took some video while photogrpahing the jet skis on saturday.. My first outing with my new toy .. hand held up to about 2 mins then on monopod then last couple of bits back to hand held.. mostly shot at 4k... 1080 for the slowmo but rest 4k.. sound seemed fine for outdoors.. all in all the cam is exactly what i was looking far for ease of use.. lovely smooth quite zoom as well..

only downside..
flipout screen was like a mirror when sun came out so am ordering a thingy to stop the glare

yeagh checked youtube for the problem and multiple people reccomend same hood.. and a pencil wiht rubber on end :)

So your now getting hooked on videos. I watched that one you posted and well done. If I was being critical would do something about the sound , to my ears it could be improved as camcorder microphones are not the best. I strongly urge you to seriously consider it
this is my Azden SMX-30 V on the pana G9 as it comes. i do have another hairy muffler that fits over the sponge as well

I have said before what i like is the detachable audio cable wich ie easily replaced if damages, powered by AA or camcorder battery . stereo to directional sound by turning a dial

watch this video

I didnt want to go too big.. it was in my poicket i was photogprahing mostly.. nearly forgot to take out.. so handy to be able to just use.... dont want all stuff atatched looking like a pro haha.. rtahe rlook like a holiday maker :)

i actually envisaged putting music to everything but sound wasnt as bad as i thought.. was expecting lots of wind noises

yeagh i am now looking at photo shoot days already done.. going again to shoot video :) gonna be all sports :)

when i had mine I actually found a third party wireless remote control for it but I can't remember what it was ,I found it on youtube. It still surprises me why so many members on here are not interested in video recording, but that is their choice of course.

putting music to a video is best finding a royality free one as there is an organisation that checks called "the performing rights society" we came across them or should i say they visited me at my kennels as they thought I was broadcasting music with a normal radio "what to the dogs in kennels????"
coveing up original sound is a bit like cheating in my book. one of the arts of making a video is not just what is seen but what is heard as well

i want a fluid head thingy for my tripod that a can also put on my monopod

One thing you may find difficult is walking along and keeping a steady video recording, this I found was not as good as all the hype on the AX53. Maybe better with a gimbal but I don't have one so don't know

lens hod for Pana G9 arrived and just tried it out in bright sunlight, yes it does shade the screen but I have doubts if yhat is enough or rever to just using the eye pieve viewer.
as for fluid head I am happy with the manfrotto Befree live tripod head. it is the MVH400ah manfrotto head. also has a lock so it can't slide out without pressing the release button

At least one can alter the dampening amount with both the 360 turn and the the up/down movement and takes a decent payload. I have it on 2 tripods P1002776.jpg

when I bought mine with the tripod it actually came with a ball head as well . The one in the picture I got cheap as it had a sticking fault which only required a strip down of the up/down movement and added a bit more grease. Now it works perfectly

this one below with the ball head that came with the tripod
