First DSLR

Hi all I hope to be posting some photographs soon-ish. I just purchased my first DSLR a Nikon D3000 AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G 10.2 MP.
If anyone has some tips for a newbie to Dslr photography then thank you
My main subjects will be nature, wildlife and family portraits ( general use ).

Hi Paul,

There are lots of photography magazines out there, including one dedicated to Canon users, so have a trip to WH Smiths. Also you can pick up a lot of info on the web, look at DSLR Tips, D-Town TV as well as this Talk Photography web and many others. Your knowledge will grow the more you read and get involved with a Photography Club as I just have.
