As the title says, not tried HDR properly before with camera driven exposures, so decided to adjust the exposures in Adobe Camera Raw, and ended up with a photo I was reasonably happy with.

Better than my amateurish tweaks of just the original !!!

Which way did you do it Andrew, in photoshops merge to hdr and tonemap there or merge to hdr then take the 32 bit file in camera raw and ajust there? It's not bad for a photoshop hdr, personally I find it fiddly doing it in ps, I tend to use photomatix, it always seems harder to get a good result in PS.

You can save the 32bit file out after the merging part, then open it in camera raw, there you have a bigger range of ajustment tools to "tweek it" Thats the way I tend to do it in photoshop.

I personally prefer Dynamic HDR over photomatix, and steer clear of hdr in Photoshop, unless I'm using nik software plugins. Overall I like the image nice range of colors and not overcooked
