Realised I can record my screen (though I haven't got software to record my dual display so it's a bit awkward, relevant to the first vid anyway)

I'm thinking of doing some tutorial vids. So these are just the first attempts! One is off the Mac Pro, one off the Macbook Air. Interestingly QT Player recorded more screen estate off the MBA than the Pro

I am definitely aware of some areas for improvement, but I am happy at the ease of it all with the free software. Of course if it was worth it I could look at screenflow, getting mic'd up etc, and recording my dual display (likely with screenflow?)

I'd definitely think about having a voice over for a lot of videos, if I had to. Maybe a text explanation. I'm only considering simple stuff, so many of you wouldn't need them. But I do have a lot of clients and friends who ask for advice so it may suit them. Also brings a bit more awareness to my 1 on 1 lessons.

But what simple videos would you say people would like to see, given that there are hundreds all on youtube already, albeit many by unfortunately unintelligible 11 year olds, granted fairly clever many of them! And some of you guys and gals probably have way better vids already, but this is my fun little project for the time being!

If you're on Windows 7 or below, FRAPS can record a dual screen desktop.

You're on a Mac.... so no idea, sorry. I'll leave the above there for any PC readers though.

Good shout for the PC owners!
