Yes
What do you use to fire your Bowens 500R or 500Pro Studio set up. Do you use the Bowens Pulsar with the integral card or some other method.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Ram - we meet again!!!..... really appreciate your help on the 500R's
I'm trying to find out most things before I commit to the 500R's...so your Da Man!!
I was thinking of splashing out on the Bowens Pulsar+card but if there is a cheaper system then I could spend more money on a decent Bowens softbox.
Thanks again
Dave
PS - your 2nd Ebay link is still the same as your 1st for the Canon cameras??

I use calumet Pulsars, used to use RF602s, depending on your range either is suitable

Good link...many thanks Mate, the 500Pro are out of my price range so its the 500R's for me.
Thanks again
Dave

Morgan - so are the Calumet Pulsars different to the Bowens Pulsars or are they still Bowens but sold by Calumet??

I use an IR trigger - like this one for £30 http://www.colinsfoto.com/product43950_245374.aspx except mine is an identical Elinchrom branded version and cost a lot more.

If all you want is a simple trigger indoors, then IR is great and has the advantage over some radio triggers in that it maintains full x-sync speed. And you don't need a receiver dangling from the flash head.

I have RF-602 for other times.

Meant the Atlas lol got a confused lol,

also if you've got the pennies you can pick up an Atlas for £80 then the Pocket Wizard card for your 500R for £120 and they are compatable :) which saves you about £80 over the PWII + card.

Interesting, Thanks will check the Atlas out

Bowens Pulsars here as well - they seem OK - a couple of times they seemed to go to sleep on the job, but fired again when the next exposure was made.
