Finger print on Lens

Hi all i got a Camera (fuji s1000FD) for crimbo and have used it a couple of times

I noticed a small finger print on the Lens thats annoying me.

I dont have any Microfiber clothes at home so its prob been on there for about two days!

i heard it can damagae the lens is that true if so how long does it take?

i will try and get a lens cleaning kit tommorow and get it off.

I use a Pentax lens cleaning cloth myself good for sun glasses too
 
Lenspen £8.99 from Amazon, maybe even less if you shop around. Best thing since sliced bread.
 
I use Specsavers glasses cloths, they work very well.
 
If you use any kind of cloth to clean your lens, make sure you wash it after every use. The last thing you want to be doing is scouring the lens with bits of dust and grit that were already on the cloth.
 
Stewart, very good advice there and I wonder how many of us do wash them out after every use.

I use Jessops lens cleaning tissues so it is a clean tissue every time and do not have that problem.
