Hi everybody

I have some photos that I would like to try having printed on textured paper, usually I would use dscl for normal printing but they don't do fine art (at the moment anyway). Has anybody any recommendations as to who to use?

With several comments about the sample papers you have just ordered

I was very pleased with the quality of the various papers and sample images - especially to be able to see first hand what variations are possible and what different options are available for different types of images.

Not easy though - good luck choosing anyway
 
why textured paper? this will normally be cotton rag so have poor colour gamute and sharpness.

are you wanting to print copies of paintings?

what size are you looking for?

Don't have to be a plain gloss print - plenty of fibre based papers that give he gamut and Dmax of gloss but without the glossiness.
 
Nothing wrong with being creative with textured papers either - it's an extra resource for any photographer Each to their own

nothing wrong if you are recreating a water colour print :|


I would suggest to the OP to get a couple of trial packs of inkjet paper and try them at home to see how their images look before spending a load of cash on a large image.
