It's one thing finding your old cameras, but finally finding my F3 spares box in amongst all the basement junk really cheered me up this morning.
No sign of my 52mm red and green screw-in filters yet, but I still have hope they'll turn up...
In amongst all this, some plastic caps for the camera synch-cable sockets and large 2-pin connectors on the MD-4 Motor-drive (still looking for one that fits the small 2-pin and large 6-pin MD-4 sockets), plus some spare eyepieces, eyepiece rubbers, focusing screens and those pesky triangular strap connectors with the plastic covers, oh, and about ten body-caps...

I bet you can't find what you were originally looking for now? ;)

I'm about to dig out my old Olympus OM1s and OM4 to replace the light seals and give them a good clean and service. They've not been used for about fifteen years now . . .

Yup - nailed it - Light Seals - I have a jiffy bag somewhere with 4 more sets in... Hopefully both my cameras are OK - they don't appear crispy or have bits falling off, but you never know...

I've not bought a set this time, I'm just going to cut them out of a single sheet with a scalpel. :runaway:

It's a 50/50 as to whether my hands are steady enough and my cutting skills up to it or not though - I may end up ordering ready made ones, but here's hoping . . .

I knew that jiffy bag was here somewhere. Only one set though, so memory still somewhat defective after all... *sigh*

Can't find? In situations like that, I can't remember what I was originally looking for!

Yeah, these sets were from a seller in the USA on Ebay... I've still got the envelope but it was a private seller not a shop...

I have resealed countless cameras using this kit, with lots of leftover material. The bespoke Jon Goodman kits are great but expensive if you have more than one camera to reseal.

Steel ruler, very sharp knife, Stanley knife or something like that, and experiment to find which side to cut from. One side is better but I can't remember which.

Even I can do it and I'm a cack handed buffoon.

Thanks. I've done it before, but not for a good few years now. I'll use a scalpel, steel rule with raised centre and an A3 cutting mat.
