Good morning all,
I have wanted a new camera for some time but have always struggled to make a decision as the competition is so close.
Sadly my old Fuji F50fd P&S broke last weekend (think it has sand in the focus mech). so I now need a new camera as apposed to want.
I want to go compact mirrorless for several reasons that I don't want to go into now. I'm also not looking for a built in OVF or EVF as it adds bulk and size is somewhat important for portability (especially when skiing etc)
I have narrowed down my search to the following
Oly E-P2 with pancake
oly E-PL2 with kit zome mkII (I would have to buy a pancake later)
Panny GF1 with 20mm pancake
Panny GF2 with zoom and pancake
NEX5 with zoom and pancake
NEX C3 with zoom and pancake
All of the above can be had for around the same price +/- £50
They all have pros and cons. I plan to shoot Jpeg until I can afford to get a new laptop and some decent software (could well be 12 months+) and I don't really plan on investing in any lenses or accessories for at least 12 months.
The option of adding an EVF later is a pro
as is a flash although that is not essential.
I mainly shoot street/buildings/landscapes/candid's/the odd portrait. No sports/faced paced action etc.
Any recommendations or general input very much appreciated.
Thanks
Griffo
