I've spotted Jefferson Airship, The B52s, The Eagles, U2, The Smashing Pumpkins, Blues Brothers...
 
Your link is incomplete (but its not difficult to work out how to find it :) )

That picture was in the newspaper about a month ago - with all the answers overlaid on it .. so not a lot of fun then. Don't remember all the answers now but remember thinking some of them were pretty weak connections (and that some were obvious).

And its for a virgin competition (only in the US I think)...
It was posted here about a week ago I think, although it was late at night.....
Caused a couple of us to have quite a late night IIRC :D

Also the image you posted is the same as the one posted that night, it's actually slightly incomplete.

It cropped up on FFOC about three weeks ago, and I would therefore assume it was on MEG too.

I refer the honourable gentleman to my earlier reply on the subject and add that the band started out as Jefferson Airplane before becoming Airship :)
