Finally gone and done it!

Well ladies and gentlemen, I have finally gone and took the plunge and raided the piggy bank to get myself a DSLR.

Went for the Canon EOS 450D, and got it with 2 lenses; 18-55mm and 55-250mm, both image stabilizer lenses.

This is my first DSLR, and I cant wait to get started...once the bloody battery gets charged lol!

Any hints, tips....or useless random comments are all welcome

Welcome, I'm a newbie myself.

I would however recommend Understanding Exposure I've read through it once and will be doing so again so it all sinks in, but it does have some great info in it.

My advice? Consider taking a course from Experience Seminars - Understanding your Digital EOS parts 1 and 2.

I have a 450D and found the course a brilliant start
