Hi all,I've recently purchased Lee soft grad filters about 6 weeks ago, when cleaning them today I noticed marks that I can't get off,I thought I'd looked after them well,(obviously not) how long should they be lasting?

Probably until they get badly scratched (they'll last forever if you don't take them out ;) ).

Are they plastic? Make sure you always store them separately, never together, preferably in something with a soft surface that won't grind grit into the faces.

Circular ones are usually glass - I've not used square filters for a couple of decades, so don't know what materials are available.

Hi, Toni makes a valid point, they can last forever or a minute depending how you treat them.

How are you storing them?

Any photographs of the scratches?

I'm not sure if Lee do glass grads, I have resin. They do glass ND filters, 6, 10 and 15 stop.

Unless they are deep and wide they may not be evident in any photographs.

I store my filters in one of these. After a days photography, especially at the coast, I clean the filters and inside the pouch.

Cheers.
