Hi, so it has been a long time since I did any seascapes using filters and it was with a Canon 7D II now with mirrorless cameras do you still need that taking a reading without filters then going to your app to see what shutter speed you need with that 10 stopper or do you find that you can set it all up with filters attached by opening the aperture and then resetting back to required settings for filters? Thanks in advance, Russ.

Hi Russ, I've found I can attach all my filters then select shutter, aperture, focus etc - though I also did the same with a DSLR.

I generally up the ISO massively to get the scene I want in the frame, focus and then drop it back down to base ISO (or whatever gives the speed I want).

Even with my older DSLRs I could use the rear screen and histogram to get the right exposure and focus (using focus peaking), easier still with my Z8...even with a 10 or 16 stop filter...
