Hi used my 100mm Lee filters no prob but I've put on the end the holder a ring to take the 105 mm polarised but when used with the 16 35 lens at bellow 18mm you can see the ring is there away round this or what sort of polariser should I of got also the polarised is a bit of sod to get off even with a metal grip I got to help

What type of adapter ring are you using? if it is the standard ring, try a wide angle adapter ring, also if you have more than two slots fitted to the holder this will impact it.
 
You will also find some 105mm CPL are 'thinner' than others - making sure you get a low profile one may help (but getting the WA adaptor is the first thing to do)

Definitely won't help having all three slots. Do you need all three?

Is your lens adapter plastic type or all aluminium wide angle version? The wide version helps a huge amount. Moves the whole filter holder back a few mm.

I'd suggest taking one slot off and trying again, also as mentioned make sure you use a wide angle adapter too. And as also mentioned, the landscape polariser is thinner than the standard one and that helps as well (it also has a slightly warmer colour cast which I prefer)
