Putting aside the filters themselves which holder is best regarded for 100mm wide filters? The Lee system seems the de-facto but i like the look of the Nisi v5 with the integrated CPL for ease of use and more reasonable money tbf. To add to that the Haida 100 series holder also look nice quality too. Argh!

Thanks

I went for a Nisi holder and have no complaints with it at all, but its not the one with integrated CPL. Sounds like you could be onto a winner with that one

Thanks Matty, i'm leaning towards the Nisi holder as it just seems very good value and well put together.

I'm recently bought a 16-35 lens and would like to know if Cokin do a wide angle filter kit as my P kits would go that far .thank you Roy.

Cokin do a WA P holder but it's recommended for 20 - 35mm, it's the Cokin WP-BPW400. You'd need to swap over to the Z series to get below 20mm but then it's a new set of filters to go with it due to the size differences between that and the P series.

I had the Lee kit however I've since started using kit from The Filter Dude on ebay. Their filter holder is just like the Lee, much cheaper and great quality. They also have loads of adapter rings etc that are much chepaer than lee but made from metal and feel just exactly the same. They're from the US.

SRB Photographic do their own holders in standard and wide angle.

I think you will find that they don't make their own, just have their name printed on off the shelf items. Often you will find exactly the same items from far east suppliers with various names on. Don't think they do 100mm holders either.
They are useful if you want a one stop shop, but you will pay over the odds for the privilege.

Hm.
I'll have to send my 100mm SRB filter holders back then, seeing as they don't exist.

My mistake, they didnt have any last time I checked, though that was a while ago.

It would seem strange that the amalgamation of two established manufacturing companies (into SRB Photographic) that specialised in custom built photographic solutions would buy in ready made products.

Filter Dude for me too, 77mm wide angle ring, 2 slot filter holder same as lee foundation kit and 105mm polariser ring for 80 dollars inc free delivery.

I have both the Lee and Nisi holders and despite the nifty design of the Nisi polariser I still prefer the Lee.

The Nisi adaptor is 82mm so unless you have 82mm lenses you have to screw a step up ring on the lens first and then screw the adaptor ring on before you can fit the holder…. far too fiddly especially on a cold morning. I have Lee adaptors on all my lenses so it's much easier.
